Girls Trip Part Two- Wisconsin

After D.C., Davis and I headed to Madison, WI to see my Grandma Susie, Aunt Cindy, and my cousins Hannah and Jenn. Crystal and the kids came too, and we met my mom there. Davis finally got to meet his great grandma Susie! He kept calling her "Susu," it was pretty cute. I am sad to say that Davis spent most of our short trip being sick and grumpy. He had a horrible fever, a really bad sore throat, terrible sores all over his mouth, and a few bouts of throw up. Needless to say, he was not quite his cheerful self for most of the trip. We still had fun though, and ate way more than our share of grandma's delicious food. Being with all the Zimball girls made me realize how much I enjoy them and miss them in my life! We need to get together much more often. Not to mention, Davis absolutely adores his cousins... he had a miniature fit when we had to leave them at the airport. I told him to say byebye to Max and Elle. He started screaming, "No byebye, no Max, no Elle, No bye bye!!!!" Very sad. He calmed down quickly though, and is now fully recovered from all of our travels.
I will update soon with pictures from last week when we went with Bry to San Francisco.

Girls Trip Part One

Davis and I have been making the rounds to visit family for the last week or so, and the first part of our trip, we were in D.C. with Crystal and fam. Since we were just there in October, we didn't need to do all of the typical tourist things, which was kind of nice. We pretty much relaxed, played with the kids, went to the park a few times and took one trip to the zoo. Davis had so much fun with his cousins! I always love spending time with Crystal- just wish she lived closer so we could do it more often!

These are from the day we left for D.C. just before we got dressed and headed out to the airport... one of Davis' favorite games lately is hide and seek... sometimes his hiding places are not so hidden

For Mother's Day, Crystal had some friends over and the guys made a very tasty dinner. The kids all helped shuck the corn, and they did a really good job!

One night before bed, the girls all did our nails... Elle does a really good manicure, even Daddy (Ryan) got his nails painted in a beautiful sparkly purple

Elle giving me a make-over with her princess lipstick (Max took the picture- pretty good for a 6 year old)

Max is so cool

Cupcake Pops

WARNING: Prepare yourself for some serious cuteness! For those of you who are familiar with Bakerella , this will be nothing new to you... but for those of you who haven't heard of this baking goddess, feast your eyes of the beauty of cupcake pops! I have been wanting to try these for a while, and I finally had an excuse- Mother's day gifts! I am pretty excited about how cute they turned out. There are lots of pictures, but I couldn't resist.

The cupcake pops (I made two different molds/types if you look closely):

Tulip Festival

Every year, Thanksgiving Point does a Tulip Festival at their gardens. It is gorgeous, and when I go, I feel like spring has finally and completely arrived. I love tulips and the popcorn trees... just wish they would last a bit longer. The pictures won't do it justice, but they are still worth a look. Enjoy.

Here are a few of the pictures from my first visit to the gardens with my friend Tammy and the kids

These are some of my favorites from when Bryson and I took Davis there for a picnic lunch
